Craigslist Treasure of the Week: Desk

Craigslist Treasure of the Week

Unique old-fashioned desk in Novato.

I love this desk because it is so natural. I think rooms can get so stuffy when they are filled with color and pattern. It always helps to throw in a little texture, and this knotted vintage desk would be a great solution. The top is a vintage door, with even the keyhole exposed.

Until it expires, you can see the original post here.

Craigslist Treasure of the Week: Noguchi-style Coffee Table

The great features of this piece:

1. the glass top makes it appear to take up less space,  if you are worried about a coffee table cramping your room, this would be perfect.

2. Solid wood base keeps it grounded and gives the piece some visual weight.

3. Organic shapes could help if your room is starting to feel boxy (couch, rug, frames…)

4. Mid-century modern look is great for modern rooms and vintage alike

5. Who wants a coffee table that looks like everyone else’s when you can have this!

Craigslist Treasure of the Week: Eero Ball Chairs

Although it saddens me that these chairs haven’t been maintained like they should – it would be so great to have this interior design history in your home! I love these chairs and they would be so fun in my home office!

Craigslist Treasure of the Week

As written in The Million-Dollar Idea in Everyone by Michael Collins, I am a “Self-proclaimed Craigslist Junkie.” I think you can find some absolute junk on Craigslist, but you can also find some real treasures. I always find it important to put things in your house that nobody else has — and craigslist is a great portal for finding treasures out of the cookie-cutter mold.

This week’s treasure is “Swanky Retro Vintage Rat Pack Bar Cart” for $80. I think this is great because it’s masculine meets feminine. The wooden legs make it solid and give it presence, while the glass and thin metal lines make it fluid.

Applications for this beautiful cart? Living Room side table, nightstand, drinks…
