Here are a couple of recent projects I designed and programmed, each built in WordPress so the client is able to make changes to their website whenever they’d like. Before and After: Mini Rocking Chair
My first ever Facebook Marketplace purchase – a total success. I bought this adorable little rocking chair for poor little Owen who has no toys anywhere and hardly gets a lick of attention {Opposite day}.
Since Owen thinks he’s a big boy who can hold his own bottle and thinks he can do a better job at spooning in the rice cereal, I thought I’d make it a big boy chair. He loves to watch {snooze through} hocky games with his dad, so this is his very own “shark tank” rocking chair.

Car Seat Canopies and Giveaway!
My little Owen, or, “He who does not sleep”, has enjoyed his new accessories. And, let’s face it, if I got one good nap out of this boy due to these great inventions, then they are well worth having!
It was evident that I needed a car seat canopy with my new baby when I couldn’t wait the month or two to get out of the house on account of “stir-craziness”. I made a cover, and since then have tried a few others out as well.
JJ Cole Car Seat Canopy
This Canopy achieved what I was hoping to: keep the cover attached to the car seat when there is rain and wind {this product just came out this month!}. I had my baby in April, and a few trips to Target to get my post c-section bod moving, left me in the rain. All I had was a receiving blanket to keep the rain {and curious strangers} away from my baby. This would have been a perfect cover for this outing, because you can check on the little one without disturbing him with the little slit in the front. Plus, it’s adorable.
JJ Cole Car Seat Canopy
LOVE this cover. All I want to do is keep my baby warm {drives his dad crazy}. These are so adorable, and maybe the warmth helps them sleep better? {are you seeing a pattern here? Ya, my baby no sleepy.} Anyway, super cozy, and much less bulky than other warm covers I have. This you can keep in the car for the chilly outings and late night trip to DQ {yes, we’ve done this}. This cover comes out in September {also coming in PINK!}.
WhipperBerry WhipperKeeper Car Seat Cover
This cover is the type of cover that I’ve noticed most of my friends have – cute, handmade, easy to attach and easy to stick in the diaper bag. This has been great because it’s an impromptu blanket and tummy time mat, so you don’t have to bring a bunch of things with you. It’s easy for me to bring the whole house with me when I take Owen out, so I love that I can use this for multiple things. This is the heaviest fabric I’ve seen used for this kind of cover – very well made and durable. Should last me for my seven kids {heh heh}.

Dresser Entertainment Center
I received some questions about my “entertainment center”. I have no idea why these seem to be so expensive, and often, so ugly. I had the hardest time finding something I liked, so I just used a dresser. I bought this dresser for $35 at a garage sale a few years back{thanks Clare!} and painted it with paint+water so you can see some of the woodgrain through it. I did do the whole hinges in the drawers thing, only to find that our electronics didn’t fit in the drawers. So, I ditched the drawers and bought MDF, covered them with Fabric and used them as shelves. In retrospect, the hinged drawers would have annoyed me, and I would have always had them open, so I’m happier this way anyway. Just today I bought new, less ugly handles.
In the drawers: movies, Playstation garb, and snuggly blankets. So much more storage than an entertainment center, and so much cuter. {It’s all about the cute, isn’t it? Don’t ask my husband this.}
Space Invader Strikes Again
My four month old found a corner of the house that he hadn’t “peed on” yet. I think this pretty much covers it now, my house has been fully mommy-fied.
Drooling Over Real Estate
Why does my husband do this to me? We always like to look at real estate, and if he’d let me, I’d take my hubby to open houses every weekend.
But this went too far. Check out this house my husband showed me. I die.
Great. Now everytime I schlep my groceries to the second floor, I’ll picture this in my mind. Arg!
