I’ve always known a newborn is a lot of work, but WOAH, a newborn is a lot of work! I’m easing into the usual activities that used to make up my day; cooking, cleaning, designing, blogging… but it all happens around Owen’s schedule.
{update 01/16/2011: I’ve been using the drawer in the diaper caddy to hold the trash bags for our diaper trash can. Holds the roll of refill bags PERFECTLY!}
We change an inordinate amount of diapers. My husband and I are changing his diaper before each feeding at least {a minimum of 10 times per day} and throw in an extra two or three for when he’s being a super performer!
I don’t always have the wherewithall, and baby doesn’t always have the patience for me to make it to the changing table. JJ Cole sent me this fabulous solution: their diaper caddy! They, of course, sent me the perfect “solid slate” that matches all things Owen. So when his 2 a.m. feeding hits, I can change baby’s diaper, get him fed, swaddled, and back to sleep all in the same room!
