Sweater Reincarnate

From this {nubby friend of a sweater}:

To This {comfy neck scarf & sleepy morning face}:

Inspired by anything and everything that Lex makes…

And on a sidenote:

I’ve always thought it was my hair that sucked. I had an epiphany: it’s my flat iron! How have I gone my whole adult life with a $15 flat iron? When I told my friends that I had ordered a CHI flat iron to restore the world order, they all said, “Oh, yes. I LOVE mine.” Huh?!?!? They’ve ALL  had one this whole time and didn’t care to sit me down for an intervention with my poorly straightened hair? Let the healing process begin. If after next week when my new CHI is delivered, and you notice that I’m looking more fabulous… that’s why.

super cute, brooke!

i am so inspired by all of the ways people have been finding new purpose for things again. in ye olden days, there was rarely a piece of clothing or piece of fabric that ever was NOT repurposed. i think it speaks so much of them and then very differently of our culture today. so much is wasted these days – even with regard to clothing, not just packaging and whatnot. i know there are those who fight against it, but it’s so sad. i hope it becomes an epidemic and that people everywhere will be reusing their items with a vengeance. :)

Love the scarf! Really cute!! Would you mind posting a tutorial on how to use the flat iron!! HEHE!!! I have one and my hair still looks weird!! I have a hard time getting to the back of my hair!! UGH!!! Maybe instead of a flat iron, I should use my husbands razor and shave my head!! HEHE!!

Yes, a good flat iron makes the difference. However, I know a great hair stylist right by your house….and I mean GREAT! Just ask Laura.

I know exactly what you mean! I thought I was forever cursed with unruly hair until I got a flat iron that actually got up to a respectable heat! The results were instantaneous, literally.

Great scarf! I think you’ll have to post an update on the new flat iron… it never really occurred to me that there would be a big difference between flat irons. On a side note, I really do like your hair cut. Makes me want a new style!

Two things you MUST spend a lot of money on:

jeans
flat iron

I could NOT live without my HAI flat iron. In fact, I’m so OCD about it that I have not one, but TWO back ups.

Honestly, without a flat iron, I look like a homeless person.

@Meredith – LOL.

… I have so much to learn. I’m going to add to your list: sunglasses. You can snap through a whole host of cheapies, but a good pair of sunglasses are like a best friend.
