But What Do I Do With It?

I bought this Michael Miller fabric in Portland, because I couldn’t leave it at the store. I was going to make laminated placemats, but I love my new laminated tablecloth so much, I may never take it off! Thinking…

I love laminated fabric too and during a recent trip to Sayulita Mexico I visited a couple of shops that were selling tote bags and zipper cosmetic bags made out of laminated fabric in awesome Mexican bright colors. In stead of buying the product I thought, Hey I can do that, and left with more material than I probably need!

You said “I love my new laminated tablecloth so much that I might never take it off”.

For just a split second, I thought you were WEARING it. And totally sympathized, I’ve loved fabric that much, too. I realize now you probably have it on a table…

@Meredith – LOL. That is so funny. Yes, I’ve loved fabric enough to wear it too… :) Love your comment.

Well, your baby boy will be here soon (as you are well aware). While he’ll be drinking his mama’s milk in the beginning, he’ll be in a highchair faster than you probably realize, and spilling countless things all over your floor – trust me on this one. I’d use it (if you think there is enough) to make a food mat to go under your baby’s highchair to protect your floor. When he gets bigger, you can use it as an art mat (for your table’s protection) where he can play with playdoh and finger or watercolor paint and make his first drawings on paper. Or you could just make those awesome placemats already :)

I really like everyone’s suggestions! Here is mine: how about seat a seat cushion cover or something of that nature? That would be really cute, too. Good luck and have fun! :)
