Crib Bumpers Done!
We’re knocking them off the list one by one… while I was finishing up the quilt, my mom was sewing the bumpers for me. That proved to be trickier than I would have imagined, but thanks to my mom, they are perfect! The fabric is Medallion in Teal {part of the French Riviera collection by Patricia Bravo}. My mom made the piping in a brown polka dot, and ribbon ties. Last step is the rocking chair reno project, and then this baby is ready to join us in style!

your baby is going to love looking at those bumpers, mama :) and i just love that your sheet is white.
i can hardly wait to see the complete nursery!!!
i loved your Christmas video, by the way. the booty dancing was particularly entertaining – especially since my computer was pooping out on me and i had to watch most of the video in slow motion. ha ha ha. and i loved the awesome meal diary that played throughout. tell me that those pancakes didn’t only look cool, but tasted great, too. i need to get me one of those cheap ketchup/condiment bottles and wow my kids with awesome pancake designs. making mickey mouse is starting to get old.
LOVELY! you inspire me! we are expecting our first in July. i love to sew but have never made a quilt before…but after seeing your gorgeous creation, i think i might attempt one! LOVE your fabric choices!
Normally, I’m not a fan of yellow but combined with your fabrics I am really liking your crib. That bumper fabric is fab.
Way to go Carol! Everything looks fantastic Brookie. I would expect nothing less…
Brooke!! It looks so fabulous! Bravo, and i can’t wait to see the rest.
The bumpers and pillows are beautiful! I absolutely love the patterns!
WOW that is some fabulous crib bedding!
Very impressive quilt. I love it – and of course I absolutely love the bumper and crib.
Where did you get the fabric fro the grey and yellow roll pillow? it is stunning!
@Maya – it’s Amy Butler’s Lotus Wall Flower: http://images.google.com/images?q=amy%20butler%20lotus%20wall%20flower&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wi
I’m so putting this photo in my inspiration folder! I love all the fabrics and the yellow crib. Fabulous!
Absolutely adorable combination of colors and textures! Thank you for decorating with my fabrics!
Wish you all the happiness in the world with your baby!
Love,
Pat
@Pat – Thank you! It was your fabric that inspired!
The crib and everything in it are perfect! I am due in May and have the Jenny Lind Crib that my siblings and I all used as babies. I am considering painting it yellow and l.o.v.e. yours!
Any chance you can get your mom to do a guest post for a tutorial on making these bumpers? I am making all my linens as well, but the bumpers are what have me a little nervous…
Thanks for all the baby (but not too ‘baby’) inspiration!
That bedding is flat.out.amazing. I wanted something like that sooooo badly but short of sewing it myself (which would have been a very scary and psychotic endeavor) I bought bedding I only “sorta” loved with both kids and have regretted it majorly both times.
I love this bedding. What a great choice of fabric, colors…
you may have said this in another post … but is that a new crib? or a vintage crib? I just LOVE it!!!!
@Katy – That’s a crib I got on craigslist for $20, and I painted it. Love a good deal! {and the best way to recycle!}
This is so beautiful! I would like to use the Medallion in Teal for my crib bumper but I am worried because my crib is off-white. Do you think it would look ok with the white in the fabric?
