Crib Quilt Done!

My holiday break was not without projects…

Here is the finished crib quilt for the little boy… so cozy! I used scrap fabric from the bumpers {coming soon}, 7 different fat quarters, and Moda’s sock monkey flannel for the backing.

This is wonderful! Are those all reproduction fabrics or are some actual antiques?

That turned out great, Brooke. I love that it’s cute and cuddly without being baby-ish. I hope he loves it as much as you loved your blankee.

This is a family heirloom for sure! It’s gorgeous, and I love how it is neither babyish or too boyish! The color combos are great, and it looks like the nursery is going to have such an awesome charming retro vibe!

This is so perfect for a little boy. Cute, vintage-y and yet with just the right mix of “baby” and “boy”. Love it!

I’ve really been interested in quilting lately, but, with absolutely no sewing experience, it seems like too much to learn.

@Meredith – I have NO FORMAL TRAINING in quilting. It’s just a buncha squares. You and your type-A personality would be perfect for quilting! :) Grab a $100 sewing machine and get started… my husband surprised me with one a few months after we got married and I’ve been hooked ever since!

Wow! That is beautiful. Would you pretty-please post the names of the fabrics? And where you bought them?

@Nicole – The fabrics were scraps, so I’m not sure of all of the designers. Two of the fabrics are Arcadia by Senae {http://www.pinkpandafabrics.com/fabric-by-designer-sanae-for-moda-c-12_72/arcadia-flock-bark-p-260/, and http://sewq.wordpress.com/2009/04/28/so-sew-mama-sew/}, and I got them at a local quilt store in Livermore called A Stitch in Time.

I love the pattern of the quilt…What is it called?

@Emily – Thank you! I don’t have a pattern, I just cut rectangles and put them together on an angle… I had a fat quarter of 8 different fabrics to make a 25″x25″ quilt.

I am inspired by this quilt! Sooo cute. i just ordered a variety of amy butler fabrics from fabrics.com to copy your quilt pattern for a friend’s baby shower. I have a feeling after making this quilt for my friend, many other friends will expect this same gift for their babies:) Thanks for the great pics!
