Dizzy
I don’t often get sick, but I do get a case of the dizzies every couple of weeks. On Saturday, I was dizzy all day. It occurs to me that on such days I should stay away from people and sharp objects, and probably just stay home {same goes for an emotional day}. Not 5 minutes after leaving the house, did this happen…
Blurg.

Oh no! That happened to my husband’s iPhone not long after we bought it, and I was able to sweet talk the Mac Genius into replacing it for free. (“Does this happen a lot? Would you say it’s a design flaw that the screen is so breakable? What are my options, oh great Mac Genius? Pleeeease heeeellllpppp meeeeee.”) I found several screen repair places in my area that will do it cheaper than the Apple store…it voids the phone’s warranty, but I was going to do that if it came down to it because it’s not much of a warranty anyway. Sorry that happened!
@Laura – good thinking! It turns out I was eligible to get the newer iPhone for $99, so I just did that. {Oh, but they tax you on the full $500… nice little surprise at the end.}
boo hoo :( Sorry about your phone. Glad you’re getting another and hope your “dizzies” past.
That is my worst fear!
Oh no!
Be sure to sleep on your left side to get the maximum blood flow to your brain, eat and DRINK plenty, make sure you are getting enough iron in your diet (especially if you are presently anemic), and – this likely totally goes against your regular M.O., but anyway – take. it. easy! When you get up, don’t rush. If you feel at all dizzy, be sure to lie down on your left side for a couple of minutes, or to sit and lean to your left until the dizziness passes. I know it seems silly, but it matters. The last thing you want is to put yourself or your baby in danger by fainting. :O( I know it’s hard to slow down when you’re a do-er. But, remember, right now you’re doing the most creative thing humanly possible! You’re growing a baby!
I hope I don’t sound like I’m lecturing :O( I’m just sharing lessons learned (minus the actual fainting part – phew!).
Hugs to you.
my iphone looks the same… gurr… need to get a new one.
Sorry about your phone. I want to reinforce staying hydrated. Don’t underestimate the power of water. Buy a filter if you must.
(Not sure if my comment went through.. spelling error) But, this is awful Brooke! Glad you could get the new one! And, your nursery is lovely, lovely!
