Iron-on Vinyl… Where have you been?

How have I never heard of this stuff? I wanted to find some laminated cotton to make baby bibs, with little luck. My brother found this iron on vinyl and made bibs for me out of fabric scraps. MUCH cheaper {and cuter}! Thanks Lane!

Those are so cute! I have to go make some now! Did you use a pattern for the bibs?

@jessica jordan – my brother made the bibs, and I think he just looked at a pattern and then winged it.

I found a free bib pattern online. I liked this one because the closure was on the side so you could see it while you were putting on the baby. My mistake? I wanted to use bias tape around the edge but the original pattern said to sew wrong sides together and then turn it out like a pillow cover. I didn’t account for the seam allowance and realized that the neck hole was smaller than intended. So, I added the ties to accommodate those chubby little baby necks.
