Show Me What You’re Workin’ With
So, we won’t know if it’s a boy or a girl until our appointment on Nov. 10th. Ug – is that not SO far away? I’ve got curtains to sew! :) Apparently we can find out in 2 weeks if we go to the 3D ultrasound place… but I’m getting mixed reviews from people on this… you know I hate secrets!
Regardless of the gender, we’ve got a little grey and yellow room planned. And I mean LITTLE. Our third bedroom is the size of a walk-in closet, just enough room for a crib, changing table and rocking chair. But, it’s still pretty cute. I told you about how I painted it grey, but I wanted to give you a better look at the room so you can see *just how binky* this room is, and hopefully you can send some fun decorating ideas. Here is a quick 30-second video of our baby room before it gets pimped.
Oh, and a quick peek at my bump that I keep hiding!

Ok, a few things…
1- You cracked me up with the pelvic thrusting, fly-girl music to showcase you baby’s future room.
2- You look darling with your little bump!
3- I can totally see some wall vinyl in white (my fave), darker gray or yellow. Something rather large. Perhaps a tree silhouette with a baby bird in a nest and parents near by? Or even just a giant(-ish) limb with the birds/nest. You could even “hang” framed photos from the limb. Just a thought.
So cute! I love the room. :)
Ooooh a gray and yellow nursery would look FABULOUS! :)
@Whitney – ! I love the pictures hanging from hooks idea! {Wheels spinning…}
Adorable! I would totally do a yellow and gray theme myself IF I were in your shoes :).
Also loooove the music selection.
It’s a great room! The light coming through that huge window is beautiful :O) You are gonna have so much fun when your little one is able to stand up against that window with his/her chubby little hands steadying him/herself, pressing his/her face up against it and looking all around at the big world outside. And how cute you look! And are those some made by mom pillows I see? I am very excited to see how this all evolves over the next few months.
I love the look you have going on! It is really going to come together… regardless of size.
Love the visual tour set to the music from “Glee”…
And you look so beautiful Brookie! I’m so excited for you guys!!!
(PS-Nice use of the word “binky”
I think this room size is perfect. We only have our second bedroom to work with which is huge so I have no idea what to do with it. I love the color scheme! I plan on keeping very neutral colors too.
i just stumbled across your blog. can i tell you how much i love that you are doing grey & yellow?! i am newly pregnant (8wks) and we decided to do the baby room the same colors. i even picked out that same crib 2 weeks ago. i’m looking forward to getting some great ideas from your blog!
