Charging your phone inevitably becomes an eyesore. Most likely the phone is on the floor next to the outlet, or an a desk accompanied by the pile of slacked cord. This is a cheap solution to tidying up those charged phones.

My favorite kitchen designs and how you can mimic them…
Bright and colorful – paint your lower cabinets a dark blue, and your upper cabinets in a complimentary teal color, and change out your faucets. You can easily change these items for just a couple hundred dollars and make a big difference!
Modern and Simple – Hillsdale home in Dublin and El Dorado Hills, Ca., and Salt Lake City, Ut. has quite a selection of durable sideboards (including the one above) that might make a great island. Combine that with rustic bowls from Williams and Sonoma.
Streamlined – Ikea has a very similar line of kitchen cabinetry

Cozy and Textured – the picture boards on the sides can be made with foam core, ribbon and fabric.
French Country – I love the rectangle tiles of the backsplash and walls. It adds a very vintage feel.
Fun and Cool – Design Within Reach has a similar chair(above) that adds to this room’s casual look.

I am creating soup can vases for my sister’s bridal shower in June, and thought this would be a cheap and easy use for many things. Below are some ways we can recycle our soup or coffee cans into decorations, organizers, and ambiance…

And even better, they have a “Subscribe & Save” program where your commonly used products are shipped to your house. Think of it as Netflix meets the Grocery Store. You can take your dishwashing detergent, toothpaste, toilet paper, coffee, breakfast bar, cleaner, and favorite chips off your grocery list and let amazon take care of it. While subscribing for each of the items, you can set the delivery schedule to arrive every month or every few months, and this can be changed easily at any time.
Not only are amazon’s prices already low, but by subscribing, you get 15% off and free shipping! You will receive an email reminder before the shipment arrives, and you will be charged as you go. Amazon allows you to cancel anytime, so what do you have to lose?
Another new feature from Google – “Street View.” We were all amazed by “Google Earth” where you could see an aerial view of your home or any other part of the world, but now Google is taking it to the streets. See this street in San Francisco below… you can pan left and right, move up and down the street and really see what the area is like without being there.
I think this would be a great feature for a home listing because you could get a sense of what the neighborhood might be like, the proximity of stores, police departments, gas stations, etc. Not all areas have this feature yet. I noticed my home in Sacramento isn’t available in street view yet, but I’m sure it will be shortly. Remember this when you are listing your home for sale or rent. Interested parties could ‘see’ the area before deciding to see it in person. It could definitely generate some interest!
I saw this feature when someone was looking on Trulia.com, a real estate search engine that helps you find homes for sale and provides real estate information at the local level.
Sometimes the gloomy weather leaves us feeling restless in our homes. That’s when it’s time to bring the outdoors in! Having outdoor elements in your home will make it feel less “boxy” and dark. It’s a breath of fresh air in any indoor environment.

Realtor Magazine has a great moving checklist, which will come in handy because moving can be stressful and overwhelming. Refering to the experts will help keep things under control.
